I’m Kevin, a chef, award-winning blogger, and food industry expert. I have spent over 20 years in the industry and have been giving talks on the subject. London’s secrets, landmarks and culinary history fascinate me and I can’t wait to share this with you.

The experience

On this experience, you will not only get a feel for the flavour of traditional Royal cuisine, but also the unique history and heritage that London has to offer. You’ll have the opportunity to taste the most luxurious and decadent foods of England and see London’s hidden royal secrets. I’ll show you where and how James Bonds’ famous drink, the vodka martini ‘Shaken not stirred’ came to be. The rock and roll square where John Lennon and Yoko Ono first met. Where the sandwich was invented and much more. Towards the end, we’ll sit down for afternoon tea at one of the most prestigious venues - Fortnum and Mason. You’ll be eating plenty - so come hungry!

This is an experience everyone should make time to do. We really enjoyed the range of tastings that were provided but also the history of many of the suppliers and their connection with the Royal Household. It was a great day discovering some of the lesser known spots round that area of London but also seeing some of the Royal Palaces and in our case the bonus of a Changing of the Guard ceremony going on which was great to see. Many thanks to Kevin who kept us well entertained and had interesting stories and facts about the history of the area and its food. Make sure you feel like eating before you go on this experience because you get through quite a few samples and we certainly felt well satisfied by the end of it.

The best food experience I've ever been on. Great food and great company we were a group of four and there was another group of two. Kevin helped to break the ice with everyone at the very start and we got on famously. I can't remember all the foods we ate but my highlights were, scotch eggs (I think that's how you spell it), cheese tasting, afternoon tea and seeing the changing of the guard. We also learnt incredible amounts of information about London and where to go during our stay. Great day out

Highly recommend the experience. Kevin is a fun guy, very gracious host and knows his way around the capital. And great food to boot! 5 stars for sure.

I'm so glad we did this! We got so much information to help with our stay in London from Kevin and it was a fun way to see the old part of London and taste traditional food. The portions were a good size and are plentiful - you won't leave hungry! We had a group of 8 people and it was just right. Add to that we learned some London history and got some great tips on what to do while we were there, it made us want to prolong our stay so we could see everything we had been told about.

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience that gave us some great facts about London's Royal history and feeding us along the way with London's finest. Definitely get a lot for your buck with this experience and would recommend to any tourists that really want to get a feel for the capital. It was awesome meeting Kevin who made it humorous and fun, which really makes it an excellent few hours.
