Was extremely delighted to join my good friend, Abdul Malik, on this Muslim History Tour last Sunday. My family of five, together with a pleasant little group met up with Abdul Malik at the corner of 30 Euston Sq where the present Royal College of GPs stands, were impressed to learn that this very corner was of great significance to Muslims back in the late 19th Century. And this was just the beginning of further revelations about a very rich and important history of Muslims throughout the tour ending with an item with the 'Shahada' on it at the British Museum making its way into Royal Family of Great Britain in the 8th Century. Very informative and excellent company, al-Hamdu Lillah. Eag...
Such an insightful tour of the city of London. You know your stuff! History is one of the things that excites me but Muslim History excites me more, especially knowing their accomplishments! I recommend others to go and benefit immensely.
Had a great day today with AbdulMaalik. Excellent knowledge, great company and most of all was surprised about how little I knew about my own city and how Muslims and Islam had helped shape it. Highly recommended. Jzk.
I joined the central London tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a three-hour walk with many many stops and nuggets of information along the way. I will definitely be joining some of the other tours on offer following this one.
Brilliant, nothing like, if you're interested in local history with a Muslim flavour then I highly recommend a tour with Mr Taylor.
My family and I participated in a walk in March and it was a remarkable and insightful experience. Abdul Maalik fed us interesting (and some quite unexpected) nuggets of information about the Muslims of historical London. He also helped us navigate Central London and also helped us find a mosque to do our prayers and look for food. I look forward to attending another experience on my next visit :)
Thank you for the history :) Very interesting and informative tour
A really interesting and informative day out. I had no idea there was so much Islamic history in London. Really, really recommend it.
Great walk and fun and sociable day out! Informative and fun!
